Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Just for fun
Picture of light coming through a new Bizzy leaf. taken indoors
You can really see the natural blue and green coloration of this leaf.

My favorite pic of the Thai giant.......only mid July and already huge!
But probably only hours from being split in half by 60+mph winds.

Aaron, your AZ photo reminds me of last week's gardening show on Italy.
Beautiful!
My jaw hung open throughout the whole program.
Jim,
Cool shot of light on that leaf.
Kind of a purplish look to Bizzie leaves too.

Godfryd, the palms in that photo look like being back in another time....almost prehistoric. Wow
Thailand is a paradise for magnificent plants.
Paul, what a gorgeous hotel scene!
Love the tile mosaic and the old castle.

Survived 2011 (barely)
I've already used this one from last year (last week) but it is still my favorite.
Kind of symbolizes "We will make it!" to me after the hardest year we've had.

note to Barb
W is NOT standing in a trench. At 5'1" , she is tall. The tallest female of her sisters (or their mother). She towers over the Maya women here; she is as tall as most Maya men. It is H who is unnaturally tall. Hence his back injury....

Lots of folks are keeping their fingers crossed for you, me included."We will make it!" to me after the hardest year we've had.
As to size, I didn't realize you were that much taller...
thought it might've been like an Audie Murphy--or Eddie Murphy--or Sly Stallone set in the movies.
But then the trench was for the taller actor (to appear shorter).
My goof.
Seriously, Erik, after the year you two have had, I think that pic should be framed and hanging over your fireplace as a reminder of perseverence.

2012
We started 2012 yesterday visiting ancient Maya ruins and took tons of photos and videos, many of palms!
Big storm last night and today; only just got internet back. So, it may be awhile before we can share.
Anyway, W is big for a Maya.
That perspective will make her as a model in the ruins (e.g., pyramid steps) more revealing:
