Hi Igor,

I was amazed at how little sign of Fall/Winter there is in those photos...lots of plants still blooming!!!
And that variegated dogwood  still has all its leaves...mine has not one leaf on it any more.

Thanks for snapping pics of those cordylines and palms.

I almost fell off my chair (photos 41 and 42)...are those photos of Canary Island Date Palm????

And wait until Jim Hardy and Mike (macario) see photo 15...I think that's a Dicksonia antarctica?
Are you drooling, Mike?????

Jealous of southern UK's mild weather!!!!

Thanks for posting pics of your London visit.

Barb, thanks for seeing and commenting the pics. I spoke to the guy who lives in the area where Canary Palms are growing. He said they are protected every winter.
I haven't shot the variegated leaves dogwood. Which particularly pic you commented as the dogwood one?

Great pics. london is such an amazing place. Also amazing how the jetstream affords such a hospitable climate in which to grow subtropicals like that even at their latitudes,, sigh!

Nice plants; like those that grow in Oregon, where I am from.
The Mahonia in bloom in early winter reminds me why I like them.

The shrub at the right in photo 9, also photo 31 look like my variegated dogwood.
Canary Palms are growing. He said they are protected every winter.
It would be interesting to see the winter protection for those CIDP's.
Gorgeous palms.

Likely a sign of old age when all I yearn for is southern England's jetstream...

As it gets colder and colder here, I'll look at those photos again, Igor.

OK, I've got it. Photo 31 - Ligustrum ovalifolium Variegata, Photo 30 - variegated Pittosporum.

I'll go clean my glasses!

I could've sworn page 9, plant at right, was a variegated dogwood.

Thanks for the correction.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Great pics, Igor!! There a few nice-sized Phoenix scattered around London. I was approaching one planted in the middle of a roundabout in the Lambeth area, but when I was about to take a pic, my phone battery died
