Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

That was wonderful, jubea, thank you.

So that's what a mature Dracaena can look like!
Going to start taking care of mine now that I've seen that.
Awesome pics, must have more.
Agree.
Maybe a new set of California palms etc. every 3 weeks, especially after the snow hits us.
Just to keep us wishing and hoping...we could live there.

I'll try to post more pics as time permits in the coming months.

Barb, I really like the Dracaena dracos and I have quite a few seedlings that I am growing.

Jim, the Jubaeas trunks are just massive. Too bad they don't produce large coconuts to go with the large tree.

One thing about cali, they have some of the best palms around.
I know the qween palms (Syagrus romanzoffiana) I seen there looked so diffierent then they do in Arizona, I thought they were not the same species.

ah, California.
Where everything grows, except maybe Licuala.
How easy it would be to live where we didn't have to worry about winter being too cold.

Jubaea it'd be great to see more pics...we'll all be missing the sunshine very soon.

Here in an interesting Phoenix that is branching. I'm not sure what it is but I posted on the IPS website as well for an id. Also there is an Archontophoenix in there as well.

Hi Jubaea, ahhhhh, thanks for another sunny pic.

Could the branching one be a very old PDP?
(unlikely because of the trunk diameter)...

Presume your rain deluge is finally over 8)

Finally we have been seeing some sun and day time temps in the 60's. It's still chilly by my standards with lows in the 30's at night. Hopefully they are right in predicting sunny skys and highs in to the mid 70's this week. After all the rain cool weather we have had I have finally been getting outside. I'll try to get some more pics posted as time/weather permits.

Edit: The palm has been ided by MattyB on IPS forums as P. dactylifera.

Ah, a dacty...quite the specimen.

BTW, what's the matter with that Phoenix in the foreground.
Hope it's not FW, or heaven forbid, red palm weevil.

Always look forward to seeing your pics!
Thank you.

Yes, keep the photos coming.
I delight in knowing that I may well be at a more southerly latitude than these palms. Where are they again?

Look at the Datura size!!!! and Agaves.
Are those Queen palms?

Those nice plants will improve the homeowner's view.
I would plant more palms...all along that wall on the left

Yep, those are queen palms. Brugmansias (Datura) can get quite large here. My brugs usually suffer leaf damage but not twig dieback.

Erik, these pictures are from Santa Barbara, CA around 34 degrees north latitude.
