Wonder how old those beauties are, any guess?

I absolutely love those gated and stucco-fenced yards.
Would sure keep the wind off young plants and reflect heat and light to the plants.

Looked at Marathon on a map. Really close to Mexico too.
I'm thinking of everything that would grow there, Aaron. :shaking2:

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

That's all? 10 or 15 years old? Sheesh, a Joshua that size in the desert would be 100 years old

Thanks for the videos...what a fabulous place.
Stunning pool, great-looking restaurant food.
"Rustic yet elegant"...man that's 100% elegant in my book.
Looks like the highway runs right past the door...same with the train :?

Let me know if they want to trade for 15 acres here
I'd trip over my tongue exchanging deeds.

I hope one day to have time and money to travel and see all these cool places. I've been looking for a few acres around that area, but people must be proud because I didnt see anything cheap.

Train runs right by it  I think Marathon appeals to me because it's something like the town I live in. We have a main railroad right through the middle of town and you cant belive the train buffs that come here to watch the trains. We even have a "train viewing plat-form".

Nothing looked cheap there.
Great looking desert highway leading to/from it too.
Looks drier than a bone around town, always wonder how many wells people drill before they find water.

Rail lines around here are being deactivated...the few businesses they served can't afford to keep them going by themselves.
I think they should be kept up and used for tourist trains, and resurrected for industry when times improve.
Means more heavy trucks on the roads.

Trains and train buffs...bet they have model RRs in their basement. :D

I wonder if there is any other yuccas as bold as faxoniana? I have only seen a few, but they sure are a sight to see in person. I would love to the big ones in that grow Texas.

Check out these bad boys. Took some pictures on a road trip this summer. These dudes are chilling on the roadside just north of Marfa, TX, on the way out of Big Creek National Park. Pretty outstanding Yucca faxonianas there.

Hey, "bighurt" Welcome to Palms North!

Great pics of those yuccas in Texas.

Wonder if they were planted adjacent to the highway...otherwise they'd be all over the hills too?

Looking forward to hearing/seeing more from you, about your yuccas/palms?
