I live were it usually usually get 22° to 25° F for the most of winter and only gets is below 22° F rarely.It snows sometime (not a lot) but rains frequently. I wanted to see if a small one would survive.

I agree....cold duration will be key. A very quick drop to 15F may produce less damage than a drop to 25F for 8 hours. I'm impressed with the ones I have. I germinated them in 1992 or so and I keep them in the darkish garage all winter (Nov through March). All that dark really doesn't harm them too much......kinda surprised.
