Lake Erie palms

Post by ryan » Sat Jul 22, 2006 6:52 pm

My parents were at a wedding today in Port Dover and saw several palm trees that were planted in the ground. I decided to look into it to see if the rumours were true and I found this article. Unfortunatly it does not say what kind of plams they are, but if anyone is in the area be sure to snap some pics so we can get an ID. ENJOY!

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Thanks for posting the link Phil. Port dover does look tropical with those nice big palms. It does seem like a lot of working digging them up, but it is a small price to pay smiles on our faces.

I hope that this might inspire more businesses and locations to plant palms outdoors during the summer; even if they are in large pots.

Regards,
Phil
