yucca about to bloom

Post by ryan » Mon Jun 12, 2006 1:31 pm

Everyone likes looking at pictures and I like taking them since I purchased my new camera so, here is a picture of one of my yucca about to bloom. This is the first year it has flowered since it was planted 3 years ago. I'm not sure what species it is, but maybe someone could tell me? Anyways ENJOY! I will post pics once thde flower is out.

Nice close up shot. :) The leaves look like filamentosa?

Thanks for the ID. I googled filamentosa and it looks like that is it!

Ryan, no question that is a yucca filamentosa. If you go to
www.rarepalmseeds.com
and check out the small packets or archives and check out yucca filamentosa you will see mine in full bloom. Mine bloom every second year. Not sure why but that's what mine do. The pic is of mine two years ago so I have flower stalks this year. My stalks are up and Mine are just starting to show the flowers.
