What a beautiful area you live in! It looks so lush and green. It's says it's a arid climate so I take it you don;t get the typical rain like the Seattle area gets? Nice place you live in! I want to put it on my list of places to visit.

Bill,
For the record, here's average annual rainfall totals for the following cities,

N.Y City 45.4"
Boston 41.7"
Seattle 37.2"

Seattle always get's pegged as a "rainy city". Rain out this way is seasonal. We have two seasons one rainy, one dry.

Cheers, Barrie.

Yes, we're arid, Bill.
My husband jokes with visitors, saying our weather is "dryer than a popcorn fart".

My region's annual precip is 13 inches...
but this last week, we've had nearly 3 inches of rain (YIPPEEEEEE!)

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
