EEK! what is this weed?

It had entirely covered a 5-foot tall by 4-foot wide older Mugho Pine...

In 32 years here, have never seen it before.

That's origanum (oregano) of some sort.

Jeez, I looked up on Google Image and it doesn't look like anything there.

This vine's like an invasion from outer space...if it's Oregano, no wonder there's so much in spaghetti sauce

Anyone else????

Heck, the flowers DO look like the ones in this link, but not the leaves.

Thanks, but the leaves in their picture don't look like they'd take over a five foot pine.

Holy cow...if it can nearly kill/cover a big old Mugho Pine.

Strange that in 32 years here, I've never seen it before but someone said the area used to grow hops.
