Hello from Northern Utah

Post by fliebynight » Wed Jun 10, 2009 11:02 am

I live in Northern Utah just outside of Orem/Provo. Just planted a California Fan Palm as well as a Mediteranian Palm. Thought I would join and see what would be in my best interest to insure healthy trees with a long life especially during the winter months.

Welcome!
I don't know what the elevation and/or winter lows are for Provo...
I assume that it is fairly high up and that palms are not commonplace?

Do you have a link to climate data (i.e. averages and records?) that will be very helpful in determining what sort of protection your plants are going to need!!
