Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Be carefull bro and while your looking at palms, do me a favor and if you see rattlers on your propperty, let me know and please allow me to "hunt" for them later. I don't "hunt" to kill but rather catch - n- release like fishing.

Hi Kansas.
Part of the reason I am going on this trip is to meet up with so other people to go field-herping ( the hobby of locating reptiles and amphibians in the wild). So maybe we can make a trip sometime in the future. 8)

OH MY GOD!!!! Please, and I really do mean this with so much excitement, PLEASE get with me if you can about a month or two before you go next time. I have wanted to go herping in New Mexico, Nevada, West Texas, Arizona FOREVER, even longer than I have been into palms. I started going to rattlesnake roundups in 2000, but then quickly found that the rattlers are WAY to pretty for me kill so I catch -n- release. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get with me next time!!

Thanks Jay,
You could call it the "wildlife from the desert gardens" and also post one on the palm forum "wildlife from the palm gardens"?
Then people could post pics of the birds, reptiles and other things the find around there gardens or of like kind habitats? :)

Well.... I made it back and had lots of fun, but was unable to make it to NM, and TX. :)

I was however able to see my property in AZ :D The weather was perfect other than a fire that made it smokey in a few of the pics. I don't think it got over 95 degs in that area. My neighbor told me that they have very pleasent weather in that part of Arizona. He said that last winter lasted for for 2 days and then it was back to short-sleeved shirts. :D He said the nights in winter can get cold but the days warm up nicely.
Here are a few pics taken on or from my land there.

This is a few pics without the smoke.

Yea... its going to be fun. To bad it's so far away. :x

As time goes on I will save up and put in a well, septic, generator, solar, and wind mill. Then we will have a good place for both our families to winter on. It is only about 2 miles out of town and it is a very friendly place. They have an 18 hole golf cource there if you play golf. :D Oh and lots of palms, cactus, agave, ocotillo, aloes, and more than a few saguaros. I was most worried that it would be to cold for saguaros, but even they grow good there. :D
Like always I did not take as many pics of things as I hoped to do, but did managed to get a few pics of the town.
Here is a few shots from Sunsites.

Aaron thanks for those pics! What part of the state is your property located or nearest city? I really like the mountains in the background very similar landscape especially pic#3 and #7 to the south Okanagan here minus the palms. It`s great to have a plan in place to not have to deal with winter congrats.

Thanks John :D
It's by Pearce/Sunsites, south east of Tucsun. It is deferent than most of the places I have been in southern Arizona. The valleys and the mountains there feel more like it does here in the drier north-west. It is very similar to here and the people down there are so nice. I had a hard time beliving I was only 50 miles from the border, except for the wild agave, yuccas, 6'high engelmanns prickly-pear and the palms around the homes.

Here is a couple more pics not far from my place. The bigger yucccas are found where the cattle are fenced out of. The biggest yuccas on my place were nocked over on the ground and have sence died. Agave were also found right on the other side of the fence. It is kind of strange I did not get any pics of wild agava and or pics of the large prickly-pears. :x
