Have Washingtonia Filifera and Jacaranda acufolia seedlings

Post by Alchris » Sun Mar 26, 2006 8:25 am

I will have several of both for shipping when Spring arrives in Alberta.

The Washingtonia filifera were germinated in Jan/06 from seed that I was told was from Southern England Zone 8.

The Jacaranda, whose flowers should be lilac blue, is rated Zone 8 and was germinated from Georgia seed in Jan/06.

I would prefer sabal minor or other cold hardy trunkless Palm seedling/plant in trade. But I am interested in anything that is rated Zone 4-6 and is less than 10' at maturity. I am also interested in anything zone 7 and up, that I can winter indoors and that is not bushy.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps
