Thanks. Barrie they are pretty common here. Every nursery sells them. They are shipped in on trucks with as much as 20 ft of trunk. There are actually two in that photo, the one on the right is just hidden behind the flying dragon (Which is about 8 ft tall). I grew these from seed, they are 5 years old. Sabal is the state tree, but I would guess there are as many Washingtonias & Butias as there are Sabals...
Ha you had to ask... In the circle are the two Washingtonias, two Sabal palmettos, Chamaerops humilis, cactus, Centennial kumquat, flying dragon, Ruby red grapefruit, Changshou kumquat, Papaya, Chamaedorea radicalis. Outside the ring in front are a bunch of seedling silver saw palms and a hybrid cycad at each end...
