Which seeds do I pick?

I have posted a pic showing a grove of t. For. They were all planted at the same time nd have same cultural circumstances, yet they differ. If you notice some have thick trunks others thin. I have read others speculate this was due to the sex, water or light. But as you can see one thick trunk and one thin trunk are both females. So my question is... if I pick the seeds from the thick trunk palm will I get a thick trunk plant? The sad thing is it will take years to find out.
