Cycas siamensis " silver " form

Post by macario » Wed May 21, 2008 9:46 am

Well I was very lucky to have just found 2 of these that are supposed to have 3" + caudex each. The description said starting tree form. I was hoping someone could give me first hand info on how to grow these.

I am going to search after posting this and see if there are past posts about this cycad.

Mike if you are talking about the recent Ebay auctions (Which looks like you won and are talking about) from Bangkok Thailand, they will probably be confiscated by customs. You do know it is illegal to bring these in as they are CITES restricted unless you have the proper permits.

They are spectacular, Mike.
Hope you're not out the money...
Maybe email the seller? ask for your money back? you never know, you might get it.

All the more reason to propagate cycads...to protect them!
Let us know how this turns out.
