Steve our lot is just under 3/4 of an acre ,so yea I`ll be doing landscaping for a few years yet. Palmetto the palms I brought here from Vancouver are for sale of which half have already been spoken for. The smaller 7 gal W. filifera W.robusta I have will still be a couple of years away from being a saleable size. Barrie yes those T. fortunei are from Sunnyside. Great folks down there. Looks like I will be doing more business with them. Maccario thanks I just couldn`t resist buying the mexican blue palms.

John,
Did you get those at Sunnyside also?
I am looking to pick up a couple of more since they have proven to be hardy for me.

Wes and Barrie I bought 2 of the five they had of the Brahea armata. They still might have a couple. FYI Cedar rim nurseries in Langley has some larger Jubea chilensis ask for Russ.

They must have had more Brahea armata that I didn't see. Personally I think they where a bit small for $150 each.
Jubaea at Cedar Rim you say ... They had a nice selection about 10 years ago and where unable to get more for quite a while. Good to see them in stock again. What where the prices and what sizes did they have?

Cheers, Barrie.

Barrie they have 15 gal Jubs and 15 gal Brahea armata. I don`t know the prices give Russ a call. I never actually got to see any of their palms as my truck and trailer were already full.

jubs and brahea

Post by Wes North Van » Mon Apr 14, 2008 10:14 pm

I bought a good sized brahea armata at Maple leaf three years ago for $49. I wish I had bought more now if they are going for $150.00.
I will check out Cedar Rim on the weekend to see how much the jubs are.
I will let you know.

John, gorgeous!
Now that I've seen how nice those B.armata are, I'm glad I bought some seeds.
Hope they all pop.

Which pic are you selecting for your business photo?

Can't believe you're taking the plane for the second trip !

Gal. One hour and 15 min and we touchdown in the the riviera of Canada ,Victoria. I`ll rent a car to get around. Going to be bringing lots of seedlings back from Victoria thanks to Islander. Yup, see your point, John.
Good prices on that seat sale.
Thank God for Westjet...the other beggars used to milk us for all they could, especially Air Canada.

Those pics of palms from your trip were super.
Great trachys...who would've thought they'd ever use them on highway medians?
Wonder how many seedlings stuff into a duffle bag or two?
500? 1000? So you'll be lookin' for pots!

Show us your business pic when you return.
Have a good trip.
Barb
