Pics of the cacti. I picked this one up on a road in Medicine Hat Alberta. Does anyone know what species this is?

I hope to add some more but I want to see how these ones make out first. I also expect them to grow and fill in most of the left over space so I may need to start another one somewhere else in the garden.
I have a agave americana that I want to plant out so I may plant it in front of the brick wall.

Wes ... you'll have those Primula out of there in a heart beat replaced with more Opuntia and the like.
Cheers, Barrie.

Wes;
The second picture of the Medicine Hat cactus looks a lot like Opuntia fragilis which is the most common cactus that is native to Alberta.
Allen
You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Looking good Wes. It's probably Opuntia Polycantha?
Regards,
Jay

Thanks for the identification Jay and Allen. I went and googled both species and once I look very closely at the cacti and review the pics on the websites I believe it is opuntia polycantha.
Thanks again guys.
