My latest package from Mr. Chumley! Pics!!!

Post by taylor » Sat Feb 16, 2008 12:00 pm

Hey all,
As I promised in the "Large Caudex!" post, here are my pictures...taken 2/16/08

L to R: 19" Cycas Taitungensis, Cycas Revoluta, Encephalartos Gratus, and then Dioon Merolae

Another picture of the group:

The shadow messed up the other pics, so here is the Taitungensis close-up:

And the first ever Taitungensis x Panzhihuensis:

Please do not ask for a seed of this, it was offered to me and Bob has a limited supply.

Thanks for looking!
Taylor

Super specimens, Taylor.
A 19-inch Tait...wowee!

It'll be nice to see them flush.

Thanks!
I want them to flush too, I just don't know how long it will take. It'll be cool, that's for sure!

Taylor, judging from the looks of that Tait, it will flush within a 3-4 weeks easily.
First, Robert usually only ships Taits that are going to flush any day. Robert is just that great of a guy. Second, judging from where the stubs are from the last flush. You can tell when a Tait is going to flush because the last flush opens really wide.

Thanks Kansas. Robert is a great guy and his expertise is definitely Cycads. I have no idea when they flush so any advice will be taken gladly. It looks to be about ready to flush from what I have seen on this site. Tell me more!

This site is a big help for me, so thanks guys!
