Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Excellent animal photos!
Snakes and lizards are indispensable in the garden for nuisance control.
Lagomorphs, well, I'm less fond of them. My dogs chase them off.
Anyway, keep those wildlife photos coming. They are hard to take and so all the more appreciated. --Erik

Hey Aaron, great shots!
We have gopher snakes here too...they creep me out, fortunately see only one or two a summer.

At my place a few days ago:

Thanks folks.

My little Cybershot camera only has a 3x zoom, so I was suprised the doe let me get that close.

Somebody told me it's unusual for a doe to have such a young one early September.
Likely that her first fawn died and she again went into estrus.

I hope the little one puts on some size/weight soon, with winter around the corner.
Lots of coyotes howling in the hills overnight.

Just don't chew on my mugho pines

Aaron,
Very nice...love seeing the pics.

Is a trapdoor spider's venom strong enough to harm a person? or just bugs?
Cool pic...kinda looks like a relative to scorpions...pale "fleshy" looking.

Size of lizard? Hope they're not big enough to harm your little dogs.

Thanks Barb.

I don't think so.

The lizards are 100% harmless, and the spiders I don't think are a problem. :D

One of my favorite animals. Studies have shown that they are good about staying away from development. :D

Aaron, wonderful new pics at your place.

Seems your drainage changes have been well worth it, and the garden is so lovely...I like the little bridge/footpath over the drainpipe and the water feature.
Incredible amount of bloom this year on your cactus...wow.
And the yucca bloom promises to be huge.

What is that gorgeous lovely blue and white flower??? anemone? it's a stunner.

Cute pic of the tree frog...with a broken tree behind him

I'll reserve comment on the snakes....eeeeeuuuuuuwwww!
(my feet were off the floor viewing those)

Never knew Columbine could be THAT gorgeous.

I've got the plain-jane Columbine here, looks like this http://www.sbs.utexas.edu/bio406d/image ... lower3.jpg
Yours is a stunner.

No apology required, Aaron.

Disliking them must be an old bible school hangover for me (Eden...)
