Frog on a Leaf

Post by Cameron_z6a_N.S. » Fri May 25, 2012 10:41 am

Here's a pic of this area's only native treefrog, the northern Spring Peeper. There are a few of them in my yard:

Cute!

If your place were in BC, it would immediately be "listed" as a riparian "conservation" area.
From then on, you wouldn't even be allowed to sneeze on your sundeck.

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

Nice frog.........do you want some Hosta seed? I have a large leaf variegated form which produces large blue leafed offspring........ It self seeds all over my yard.......very easy. I'll take a photo to show you.

this type of Hosta self seeds all over the yard. My other form does not? It has nice blue, round leaves.

Nice Hosta and Frog Cameron, I love that shade of green, on the hosta the frog looks so tiny. We have Spring peepers here too. Jim nice Hosta seedlings. I have about 20 different kinds of Hosta and some set seed but iv never had them self seed in my garden, pretty sweet.

Thanks, guys.

Tim, I have a similar Hosta to the one in the photo, but it's not variegated. It's called "Drinking Gourd"
