Greetings from Omaha!

Great site! although it might cause a divorce since I stay up late reading the forums and learning about all the things I've done wrong with my palms since I'm a newbie.

It's trial and effort!

Have 5 palms, all new this year. Two bigger ones, 2 seedlings from ebay ad one from tyty about 4 ft tall.

Welcome!
No divorces needed. My wife thinks growing palms is an eccentric but harmless hobby, and likes that the garden looks nice and that I take her to palmy places for vacations.
I like the look of your windmill palm in the Asian-themed garden bed you have. :)

Well....even if it does cause a divorce....it's the perfect hobby to fill in the void

Yard looks good.

Possibly! I say YES, wife says NO MORE ;) I do have two seedlings growing in 3 gallon pots that I could move there when they are older.

I'll have to put your wife in touch wth mine.
Problem i s, she gets a horse for each of my palms, and they seem to cost more. :x

Welcome to the forum, Scott! Are you also a member of the HPS board?

He means this one:
http://members3.boardhost.com/HardyPalm/

I post there occasionally, but IMO it is not as good as this one. Palmsnorth is friendlier, and more focused on growing palms where winters get very cold. I like HPS for the photos of palms in places like Texas and Georgia where they grow much easier.

Yes, pics from that part of the country are pretty common. I look for pictures and info from members closer to where I live and my USDA Zone for advice.
