Greetings!

Post by ZeroLT1 » Mon Nov 15, 2010 6:16 pm

Hello everyone, my name is Carl. I am from the Sandusky, Ohio area, a zone 6, and have recently really gotten into palms, my favorite being the Pindo Palm. About 2 weeks ago I planted some Pindo Palm and Chinese Fan Palm seeds in my house. I will soon be moving to Atlanta where these trees should survive in zone 8. Just started this as a hobby, hope I don't mess it up.

Carl,
welcome!
Pindo palm (my avatar photo) is one of my favorites. A real challenge here in Oklahoma, and Ohio would be even harder--but not impossible with the help you can get on this forum.
Atlanta will be MUCH easier, but pindo palms may still need a little help for the coldest winter spells.

Hi Carl, welcome aboard PN; glad to meet you.
Thanks for installing your weather sticker right away...nice to see members' temps.

Looking forward to seeing your germination pics.

Ah...Atlanta, you'll gain a couple of zones, something we'd all like to do. :D
