300 MYO fossils in Rhode Island

the only fossils I've found up here are 300 year old tree leaves. I have a bunch in my garden.

Hi Bill,

many of the sedimentary rocks around RI and SE Mass are from the Pennsylvanian age and date back to 300 MY. Mostly leaf fossils that look like mimosa leaves. Still cool to find them.

I never really found much digging either around here. There is sea shells in the sand here I find from time to time.

Speaking of mimosa tree's I saw a ton of them on the way home from Swansea yesterday.
