Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Truly lovely.

Everything nearby is maturing so nicely too.

It is. A person looks at the seedlings and think they may never see a mature plant, but they will get there!

I forget about plants and before you know it they are getting big enough to trip over. :D

Aaron, I'm gonna raise it from the seed, I guess, because they're sooo expensive here, plus don't wanna buy the ones kept inside greenhouse all year long. They have no chance surviving here.

May I repeat myself? They look gorgeous at your place! :D

Where did you get the seeds from? Looking at your plants, the source must be worth recommending.

All over the place.

The big plant with the long leaves and my oldest plant, came from a mail order seed from Southern California. Some seed I collected and some I got from seed that you get from gift shops in the southwest. I think these you can order on line?

If it is seed, it may be worth a try. I think also rarepalmseed.com sells seed.

My oldest and biggest comes from a place where you would not think of hardy j-trees coming from, so one might be as good as another?

Nice specimens Aaron. In Clary's DNA study she claims brevifolia is closest to rostrata..........that would be a great test to see if rostrata and brevifolia could hybridize!

Look at the difference in leaf color. The darker the leaves the more frost bite, you can almost tell what yuccas do better. My big j-tree does better every year, almost no darkening of the leaves, the smaller j-tree almost black in appearance. This was after -5f/-20C
