Chisos Mountains Yucca Rostrata

Post by cuja1 » Tue Oct 27, 2015 3:23 pm

Last year I ordered a Yucca elata from www.coldhardycacti.com When it arrived I noticed it was a yucca rostrata. I contacted Kelly Grummins (the owner?) and told him that I hadn't had much luck with yucca rostrata and I was really wanting a yucca elata. He told me he would send me my yucca elata (which he did) but also told me to keep the yucca rostrata and to give it a try. He said that it is from the Chisos Mtns and I might have better luck with it. I noticed that the leaves are stiffer than the typical yucca rostrata.

Has anyone ever tried this kind and have you notice any difference in hardiness? I'm excited to see how it does where I live.
