Bonsai Sago transplant?

Post by sidpook » Mon May 14, 2012 3:51 pm

Hello,
SOmeone recently offered me a Bonsai sago as a present. While it is beautiful, I was wondering if it could be replanted ina normal pot with soil to let it grow larger?? AMy info would be appreciated. Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

Accept! :D

Sure it'll take off...remember how long my Trachy was potted? ~32 or 33 years!

Can't wait to see it.

They`ve bloomed already? wow but with your mild winter/warm spring probably shouldn't be surprised.

Happy to report my red flag cordylines are growing like mad now that they've been planted out again.
But no sign of anything exciting happening.

yeah they are done blooming, they came out in APril this year...Insane growing season this year Barb. My musas are at least 7 ft tall now, fully leafed out, never even bothered to cover my trachies

Tim, what a heavenly back yard...stunning.
Can see you really have fun there.

And 7 foot nanners already in May? 18 footers by Fall

Loved the delicate flower spikes of your cordylines.
Very pretty.

What a winter for you...no Trachy protection at all.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
