Last night we hit -25C here in Toronto... Coldest it's been since the 1990's. Yikes!

Tim and Paul, holy cow that's cold.

And quite the whack of snow.
It's been a long time since we saw Tim's yard looking like that.
Tim, I still remember that years ago pic of the snow "tunnel" that the Christmas lights created.

Elata's elegant narrow leaves look to be folding lengthwise to protect from the cold, no doubt.

Hang in there guys.

Tim,
I've been wondering how you are doing.

As a "funny" anecdote, my buddy in Belize, who lives in a Maya village in the jungle and leads bird tours, had a client pay for him to fly to Massachusetts to see snowy owls. He also arranged for him to address Harvard and the Nuttall ornithological society. This was last month. It was 89 oF when he got on the plane and 10 oF when he got off in Boston. He saw his first snow, and got a great photo of a snowy owl. Good times. Doubt he'll go back in January, though!

I sympathize with all of you who find this winter long and very cold, here it's 9 F right now but with the wind feels like -8 F (-22C) and it will continue until weekend, I really hope spring will be nice and not like last year with too many cold nights.

Looking forward to warmer weather here but its not been too cold... a -7C min... much warmer elsewhere in the UK. It looks like an east /west split regarding the weather in your parts with the west throwing the correct dice. Keep in there Tim... just think of all that heat you'll have this Summer :D

Its been cold up here but nothing record breaking. Its actually been much warmer than the previous years.

At last you get a good amount of snow tim. Everything should be fine. I just took a look at Niagra falls temps. Theyre looking at -25C tonight. Record daily low is -12C.

Bloody cold again around here... record temps since 100 yrs they said! Didn't that happen last year in the East? Damn jet stream!
I just came back from Florida (Ft Myers, Orlando, Clearwater..) record low temps there as well. Low of 28F!!!! Good thing I brought my jacket.
Ppl were confused on what to wear....lol

Orlando, Washy's just starting to flower, and Royals just starting to drop the fruit... Palmetto's just growing the Bract and no Pindo's in sight... strange.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
