This winter will never end !!!

Post by Beny » Thu Mar 13, 2014 12:05 pm

What the hell i did for having this kind of weather this year....just got another 6 inches of snow and we still having temp. 10-15 c below normal  ...this snow will never melt or what ?
I really think to make the big move next year and move to Florida....I have the worst winter, pay a lot of taxes , fuel at 1,45$/liter  , bridge and overpass in really bad shape, ect, ect....so, if someone want to come live here, think twice before  ....

That's funny Ben! I moved out of there 6 years ago for the same reasons. My last winter in Montreal (2008) had snow in April!!! :( Although, it kept the beers cold sitting in the sun
Don't forget to thank Tante Pauline for your move to Florida! lol

I'm sure that your palms are fine, and I'm anxious to see the results from your new technique, it's supposed to warm up there real soon!
Santé!

I feel your pain, Beny.
You got a crapload of snow last year too.

Move to BC...we need a few more palm-loving folks to help pay taxes.

Fuel 1.33 here today.

You'll be wearing shorts and flip-flops in a few weeks.

Id like to move where you are guy's but its funny to say that Florida is closer than BC  ...3000km instead of more than 4500km..You have nice view there with the rockies :D ...
Here the people say Québec is beautifull, some place yes but those people never went outside the province. You just need to travel a bit to understand there s a lot of beautifull place in the world, thats why i love traveling ...

I totally agree. I think everyone needs to travel outside their hometown
and see the world. I love to travel. :)

Yeah, gorgeous sunshine for a week.
No sun now, but still mild-ish.
Florida is closer than BC
BC is further away from Quebec.

Yeah, I'd probably pick Florida too, but mowing lawns for 12 months is crazy.

Agreed. I'm not super well traveled but every place has it's own beauty except Detroit.

Speaking of travel less than 3 weeks then I go to Mexico for a couple weeks. Apparently I'm staying about 25 minutes away from the best botanical garden in all of Mexico. I'll be making a morning of that for sure.

Playa Del Carmen 1 hour south of Cancun. My wife and I were Married there 3.5 years ago. We try to spend a month or so there every year... The botanical garden is about 1KM south Puerto Morales apparently lots of native palms and cacti and birds and even a few monkeys from what I heard. Can't wait.

Beny,

I got a dusting as well but I hope to loose the boxes on the plants next Saturday. I still have about 18"-24" of snow on the ground It'll be nice to have the boxes off so I can enjoy everything for another season...
