Mike .. if you mean the blue one that's Nolina Nelsonii. The smaller green one is Yucca Maderense.

Mike

If you think 26F is brutal, whats the word for -17F...

We may be right back there or lower next week, luckily only -10F tomorrow night.

One of the models is forecasting a 1058mb high pressure next week,
I have never heard of anything close to that here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then bulk of the medium range models continue to advertise a hugely
negative anomaly in their l/west trough formation across the upper and middle
MS River Valley by 12z Monday. Seems the polar vortex gyrating across the
southern Hudson Bay region remains trapped and acting as a type of
block for ridging off the coasts.

Next Monday and Tuesday...the 12z GFS had an incredibly intense surface
high of 1058 mb into north central Montana by 12z Monday...with the ridge
center then moderating to the lower 1040s as it slides southeastward
across the region for Monday night into Tuesday morning. The Euro not quite
so strong with a 1045 mb high...but they both advertise Arctic Dome
of air to surge across the County Warning Area/frontal passage as Monday progresses. Sharply
dropping temperatures...and if the model prognosticated -26c to -28c 850 mb mb
airmass verifies and make it across the County Warning Area...could be some -15 to
-25f low temperatures by Tuesday morning in portions of the dvn County Warning Area. Incredible
cold. Will it moderate then middle to late next week as bulk of the
medium range solutions suggest...or they continue to mishandle such
a negative anomaly regime and open the region/Midwest back to more Arctic
dumps after next Wednesday. ..12..

Just amazing.

Wow Jim....that s pretty cold for your area  ...Your high must be around 30F and low near 10F..big difference. Like you, we are still below the normal since end of november. Since 2010 the winter in north america are below the normal, and the Europe is a bit colder than usual except for this winter so far. What that s mean, only the ffuture will tell :? ...

I recall last year (or the winter previous to that?) that we were warmer than Erik in Oklahoma.

Maybe the poles reversed
