My area has not had much snow so far - only a couple of dustings. Temps have hit -10 C for lows twice, and I still haven't protected my plants! Hopefully I can accomplish that this week.

our first snow storm hit today at around 12:00 pm, EST. in two odd hours or so we have about 6.5 inches on the ground and it is still snowing. Supposed to turn to rain later tonight as warmer air comes in off the coast...I'll post pics l8r. It is a beautiful light fluffy kinda snow

Will look forward to those photos, sid.

Not much in OK:

And sadly not much more in Oregon, where my palms are in the ground.

I know how you feel when you have interest in another part of the county and have no idea how the plants are doing. :x I hope they are doing good for you.

Sense I have had my place in AZ, 2 of the 3 coldest winters on record have hit that area. So, i'm hoping all this cold is not a new norm for the area.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

It's crazy here; what was supposed to be a coating to an inch is now upgraded to 6 to 10 inches through this evening....pretty outside.....

6 to 10 inches is "light snow"? so your weather sticker says.

Bet your parents are watching your CIDP in Oregon, Erik.
Maybe they've thrown a blanket over it.

And how did we know you'd be shovelling snow wearing shorts?

Photos look almost surreal.

You've won the snow contest, I'm sure.

yeah, I was debating on whether or not to cover them this year, alot of people here do not cover them, but then again i like to see them get huge, so I did it.

Yeah.... Slowly moving down to minus 15 C next week. The third decade of December is the coldest at the absolute minimum temperature almost every winter but January is a coldest month at the average one.
