Did water 'em, last week.
Crap.

The Brahea armata won't make it, just a flimsy plastic tent over it that blew over/open one night during cold winds.
The little Chamaerops humilis, unknown trunking yucca and unknown agave/yucca/furcaea? have no heat either.

:x :x Damn volcano dust.

By the way, here's the other (twin) to the Brahea Armata that got the tough love last year.
Also pushing a nice new frond...on the sundeck today.

-5C night temp? That's even colder then here, but you have warmer daytime temp.
Woke up this morning and all I see is snow, lots of snow. Forecast is very bad: two weeks with very low temps. I don't know what's going on anymore :|

Too hot, Michael ??? send some this way.

We've tanked again.

With a low of freezing last night, there are Washy gnomes in my garden:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/8642525655/" title="007 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8126/8642 ... dcc9_c.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="007"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/8643625852/" title="008 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8535/8643 ... c387_c.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="008"></a>

The little Brahea armata is really struggling since being planted 4 weeks ago:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/8642520213/" title="005 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8114/8642 ... 00c6_c.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="005"></a>

And what's-his-name doesn't like frost either:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/8642522953/" title="004 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8392/8642 ... 981b_c.jpg" width="800" height="600" alt="004"></a>

It snowed in the hills:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/8643620178/" title="001 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8117/8643 ... 375e_c.jpg" width="800" height="600" alt="001"></a>

Will end on a nice note:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/8643617746/" title="011 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8258/8643 ... 11cc_c.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="011"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/8642528477/" title="009 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8266/8642 ... 08cc_c.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="009"></a>

Gotta go throw another log on the fire...

Hey, Barb, your Magnolia is eye catching! I must take a pic of my Magnolia Susan tomorrow. By the way we reached 29 C today and we are going to get a heavy snowfall and minus 3 C by the mid of next week.

We had some much-needed rain.
