AM THURSDAY MORNING. THIS TIED THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR
JANUARY 31. THE RECORD HIGH WAS ALSO SET IN 1988.

WEATHER RECORDS FOR THE PROVIDENCE AREA DATE BACK TO 1905.

Too bad the high was when we were sleeping!
