Local September Rainfall Record Broken

Post by Cameron_z6a_N.S. » Tue Oct 02, 2012 7:31 pm

There has been way too much rain in my area lately, and as a result, a significant local weather record was broken in September: the September rainfall record.

The city of Halifax recorded 386.8 mm of rain in September, compared to the monthly average of 104 mm. This new record was actually only 0.4 mm away from beating the all-time monthly rainfall record! Now imagine what all of my palms and other plants have been going through!

You guys can take all of the rain! Although I'm sure Mike has had enough of it after Hurricane Sandy.

386.8 mm
At my age I have to look it up in inches...that's more than 15 inches .
My area doesn't get that in a year.
Holy Batman, Robin!

Hey Cameron, how do you keep the water from filling up that new cactus bed you dug?

Barb, the cactus bed was sidelined for a bit, so all of the rain just drains straight through the rock pile
