Rate your Remote Thermometer

I've had one of these laCrosse for a couple of years.

Really annoying that the display kicks out frequently, but then, presto, it comes on again an hour later.
Changed batteries, no improvement.
Moved it closer to sending unit, no improvement.

La crosse model WS9124U
has outdoor temp
indoor temp and humidity
Used in our glass house in the poly hoop house, during cold months.
Have definitely experienced the reading of --- for temp a handful of times over the past year. Overall, I am very satisfied with its accuracy and reliability. Gotta be sure the grapefruit tree doesn't freeze out there!

I got an old digital thermometer unit.......don't use it much unless a 'cold blast' is coming. I use weatherbug since it has several local schools reporting in my area.

So here is its upper limit: 60 celcius and more reads OFL

Brought to shade, dropped from 60 + celcius to 59.2, this was July 2 2012, No wonder my strawberries got fried. This was at ground level facing West Just after 3pm, air temperature was 33c.

Thanks Adam, yup I've got two...only one is a bummer.
Must've got dropped in the store.
Have to remind myself to buy the third item on the hook, not the first.

Both you guys have had HOT HOT weather since Spring.
No wonder the strawberries are fried...they'd need a very heavy mulch to make it through.
