Hopefully everyone is OK! We caught the tail-end of the same storm, here's a view around 3 or 4 km away from my house:

It was definitely the most lightning I've seen since moving to NS!

Holy moly, Cameron, that's one big storm!
And a whack of rain.
Had forgotten how it would have affected the entire NE seaboard.

Bill's OK, saying Springfield is 1 hr 45 min NW of his place.

Glad everybody's OK.

I'm only about 5 miles south of the path of that tornado - definetly dodged a bullet!!

When the weather channel said there was a tornado on the ground in my area, I was still watching the the tv to see where it was, instead of running for cover. I was outside picking up my blowing around bananas and palms, from the storm.
I feel bad for the people in Mass. I don't think any of them were near Bill.

Paul, that is close indeed considering that people many hundreds of miles away posted the lightning on YouTube.
Hey...forget the bananas and palms in a tornado! :|
Sad the damage that was inflicted on those folks.
