Bustin' at the Seams with plants/seedlings indoors

Post by lucky1 » Mon Apr 11, 2011 3:37 pm

Posting this under weather because weather's the problem!

If this cold wind would abate and the wild weather swings would settle, plants could go outside.
And palm seeds popping in the kitchen...
But NOOOOOOOOOO

This 5-foot grapefruit was out briefly

Basement's chock full. Foxtails have even outgrown the lights :D

Foyer is full...

Everything else is back in the cold building.

My place may be the last place to hit the 90's.

Hey you guys, don't hog all the warm weather. :P

That's a lot of plants!

NS will definitely be the last place to hit the 90s! Well, maybe Nfld and the North Pole are exceptions

It's just that time of year. Tonight, Veitchia/Adonidia seedlings came indoors, but many more palms will come back in for the weekend. My brief bit of June weather is gone and regular ol' April is back. Got to love it. I guess. :?

Yup, that coconut is doing great, must be that red/blue light thingy.

Erik, let's see those Veitchia seedlings please.

Yes, the Cocos is fantastic. A real accomplishment.
I keep waiting until I pot-up to post again on the Christmas palms, which I am stalling on doing in case another seed pops.
About time to declare "success" and be happy with what I have. :D

Erik,
Even a few Christmas palms would likely make you happy, as it would me.
I never count on 100% germination, always surprised when more than 50% pop.

So you're doing well to have a few.
Especially after carrying them around in your pocket for a week in Belize
