Jim,
Ah, to have been out there on that trail...warmth!

Yup, saw the very tiny "her" cyclist...Mom? Sister? stranger?

Hey that 1st pic: lightning strike maybe? what do you think?

Glad you managed to get past those Jumping Chollas...
you're simply collecting those others on your sandals, right?

It must've killed you to leave that big blown-over barrel there.
You DID leave it, didn't you?

Great pics! Thanks.

My guess is woodpecker actually apparently there is a variety of woodpecker that targets these large cacti pecks out a home for themselves waits for the hole to callus over and moves in. This looks like an entire Bird condo.

Of course I could be wrong.

Huge barrel, I bet it weighs 400-600 lbs. Too bad someone can't replant it. :|

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I am still here...the girl is a stranger right now...she was a goddess on a bike for sure very impressive
never stopped the whole time I saw her- there are places where you can see people riding for quite a distance...........

The woodpecker is most likely responcible(as mentioned) for the Saguaro and- old age for the big barrel....its still there
