Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I hope by busy, you mean reforesting the mountainside :D

Sorry sorry folks!
Thanks for the concern.

The last 2 months of 30+C gut-sucking heat have been awful.
Really busy.

Tried catching up reading posts a couple of times, but couldn't get around to finishing.

Did see many great photos of how your plants and gardens are doing.

My stuff is suffering big time from the incessant heat.
So was I in that infernal heat.
One day it hit 38C 100F.
Most days it was between 32C and 35C here.

Thanks for the visit today, Keith. Glad you could take my suffering Trachy Naini Tal palm home.

Again, folks, thanks.
Nice to be able to breath again 26C today.

Time for the annual, "where's Barb?" discussion. By November, she surely has pics of the Trachy hut to share. Anyone heard from her?

Gosh, Erik and everybody ... so sorry.
Even had to ask Jay what my password was.

To help my daughter, have been doing a lot of babysitting of my 5 mo old grandson...like holding a 20 pound squirming octopus

Never expected to be AWOL this long.
A sure sign I'm older than dirt...everything takes twice as long to complete.

What a coincidence though...just today got 6ml vapor barrier up around Washies, Brahea, Yucca and little Chammy cerifera.
And the first year inground old CIDP.
Big trachy hut slated to go up tomorrow...there's no way it'll fit.

Thanks for sending out the search party...I promise to do better.
Hope everybody on PN is healthy and happy.

Thanks!

Thinking of Brahea armata, Adam, have wondered how yours is.
I think the last time I saw it was in its winter protection.

Will get some pics on here and hopefully get caught up (yeah, like that'll happen   ).

Barb

EDIT: OK, same ole' problem. Flickr photos won't load.
I must've been a lot smarter last year...any hints?

Barb, yeah the Brahea is gorgeous after four years in the ground... had to pot it up. And about 15 other yuccas. Sold my house! pics will come at some point. I'd love to see yours. My seed grown B.armata is by far my most prized palm... now seven years old, I do believe.

Selling the house is the only reason to dig up those beauties, Adam!
Congrats...
Are they planted in their new yard?

My little Brahea did soooooo well this summer, 5 leaves, but it's still small.
Yours must be huge after 4 years in the ground.
Bet you took lots of soil to minimize root damage.
But even that, I think, is over rated, as you'll recall what I did to mine when I took all the soil off the roots to dip in pesticide when it was loaded with scale.

Look forward to seeing some updated pics.
And, yes, I'll figure out the Flickr thing...AGAIN. :x
