Vacation discoveries and a protected pawpaw

Post by seedscanada » Sat Aug 03, 2013 5:22 am

Was on vacation a week ago at Port Burwell Provincial park. We went into town and happened upon a native but exceptionally rare Pawpaw tree that is protected on the city of St. Thomas' tree honor roll..

We saw no fruit in this very full canopy. There is fruit on the pawpaw tree near our home:

Now the plants we saw in the provincial park.
Anyone know what are these plants?

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
