My bergenia (Bergenia cordifolia), it survived this winter with a low in the -30C range, more few dozen days below -20C. (no cover no other protection, ~60cm snowfell this winter and what did the job :D )

Cold Finland is very similar to my climate (Zone 4), but I imagine that you lack summer heat?

Southern Finland is similar to Riga.
Cold winters and cool summers with t really rarely over 30C.
