Tim - The figs I bought were from crappytire (canadiantire), and were only labeled "edible figs" in the patio planters section. The pig shows yellow flesh, with deep dark skin, so I think they may be black mission, bt thats a guess. I cant think of any other figs that are that dark. One will be staying in the ground for a trial, while the other is going to be dug up and potted to bring indoors, and have some cuttings taken.

The russian olive I have is a different cultivar, from somewhere around the russian steppe, in western asia. I cant remember the name, but Im pretty sure its from an area along the caspian sea. Its technically the same tree naturalized in the US. THere is also "autumn olive", which is the same genus, but a different species. There are also a few other types naturalized. IF youre really interested in the proper name, I can dig out the tag, just let me know!

I just found a sheet of paper where I wrote down the types of plants I have. I have roughly 150 different plants and species in roughly 400 square feet, not including houseplants :D

Cam - John send me a handfull of his old F Nitida seeds he collected a few years ago. The viability is in question, but even if I manage to get one......
