Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Your friend's done a superb job.
Must be wonderful to look out the window at that scene every day.

That claret cup bed is breathtaking!

Nice to see Thompson yuccas in bloom.

Great diversity.

I think mine is a goner to,it is pretty mushy at this point but still green.
I am hoping it is just from water shedding but I think it is worse.
To bad,it has some of my favorite flowers,I will definitely replace it if need be!

Jim mushy may not be the end.

My indoor echeveria, when planted out into the blazing sun of summer (without any shade cloth), within a day turned mushy and brown and smelled awful.
Figured it was gone.
Was told to leave it, don't cut brown away.

Image

Within a couple of weeks, it shed the brown leaves and pushed new segments.

I don't know about cactus, but it's worth waiting to see.
Barb

PS--here's some of MY cactus on the back of our property
The dog hates this stuff, but always seems to find it!

Great desert garden, wow.

There'd be some microclimate too, with the larger shrubs at the perimeter.
Beautiful.
