( the chicken wire is around a sagauro my kids always seem to trip and fall on)

Livistona saribus
That reminds me! I have a few Livistona saribus (green petiole var.) outside. I'll have to round one up and bring it in to see how well it does.
Cheers, Barrie.

Nice palm
Barrie,
Any luck with them outside? Are they hardier than chinensis?

Uncertain
I don't believe Livistona saribus 'green petiole' form to be hardy beyond -5 or -6 celcius (20f - 23f), but it could be. I do know that they are hardier than the 'red petiole' form. I noticed the ones I have are looking a bit neglected, so there's another thing on my to do list.
Cheers, Barrie.
