Nannorrhops growth variation

Post by lucky1 » Fri Jan 03, 2014 12:22 pm

These were all started last winter from RPS seed.

At left are 2 Nannorrhops ritchiana beside 4 Nannorrhops arabica (silver).
Yup, all the same age.

It'll be interesting to see if the "stunted" N. arabicas keep a bluer color than their bigger brothers 'n sisters.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Thanks Aaron, love the bluish color on the arabicas.

Scott, the tag says germination was January 2013, so they're a year old.
Can't remember though how long before they popped, sorry.

Have never tried Nannorrhops before.
So I got both types, the regular ritchiana and arabica
Seedlings seem to grow fast.

This was the internet image that made me buy them: second photo down the page: http://home.scarlet.be/palmiers_belges/ ... rhops.html
