US PS tracking numbers don't work in Canada

Post by lucky1 » Fri Mar 22, 2013 9:26 am

...bought some hybrid Wodyetia x Veitchia seeds from Seabreeze Nurseries in Florida.
Great service, sent me the US postal service tracking number, told me when they were picking seeds/shipping them.

Thanks Scott, for the seed tip!!!!

Took 4 days to get from their location to somewhere else in Florida, and then the envelope dropped off the face of the earth after March 18th.
Because Canada Post doesn't use THAT KIND of a tracking number, even though it's marked International mail.

Stooooopid moronic Canada Post.

There...that felt good.

Shouldnt it still track if you track using the USPS site?

Ends at Miami FLA on March 18.

Called local Canada Post because their International package tracking didn't work.
Gave me the 1-800 number (probably Vancouver).
After numerous "press for"...got to where I could enter the number, but not the letters.
Couldn't figure out how to do that on a landline phone (not same as cellphones for letter selection).

So bombed out there until I hit "0" about 5 times
Finally got a person.
Told him their international tracking website bombed, and machine-prompted tracking number didn't work.

He said he couldn't get it tracked on CP website either.
But that his "internal tracking device" did find it...in Montreal.

8 days international first class mail from Florida to Montreal.
And maybe another week?
As long as the horse doesn't go lame.

The world's going to hell in a handbasket.

5 days????
Must've been an Arabian horse.

My seeds took 4 days to go the length of Florida.

OK...so my seeds are probably sitting in a frozen truck in Montreal. :?
