Jim, I'm sure all the palms are loving this great fall weather we're having and hope it continues at least till the end of the month.

You going to protect this winter still or will you be moving before then?

Good question Scott. Great pics again Jim. How do you protect the Washy?

Chad

The Havardiana,Agave Palmeri (high altitude form) and(I think)
the Neomexicana all have pups, the Havardiana and Palmeri are
in pots and the Neomexicana is still on the plant.

not moving yet :D

here are some pics of how I covered the Washy
a few years ago, probably need to make a new
cover this year as putting an 8' cover over the
top is a little rough by yourself...

<a href="http://s297.photobucket.com/user/orbea6 ... 2.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm22 ... -10002.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 11-19-10002.jpg"/></a>

The thermocube (on @35F/off @45F) is placed at crown height
on the north side near the outer part of the inside as this should
be the coldest spot at that level.

So when you wrap your palms, there are no air holes for air to get in or out?

I think those were bags that some of the bubble wrap
came in that just happened to fit snugly over the top...
I cut and taped the top portion later when it was warm enough
to take the lids off and let them breath.
