Road trip to Texas......

Post by sashaeffer » Thu May 28, 2015 4:42 am

Drove down in my truck to vacation in San Antonio with the wife. Of course I had to palm shop. 15 palms, 5 other types of plants made the trip back.

Don't have plans to at this time. I already have probably too many in the ground scattered about to protect.

Great haul!
Are these all from the lots around the Dallas Farmer's Market?

My wife says she's given up, so keep buying palms and maybe yours will too!

Headed to San Diego here in a couple of weeks..with my truck and already have almost a dozen palms on hold for me by two members that grow them on Palm Talk.

Last trip out there I brought home 30 palms.

The 2 smallest ones. I'm asking jokingly. I just came back from Panama City and I couldn't resist the urge to dig up some Sabal seedlings in Destin, FL. There were so many all over the place I rationalized that I was just pulling some weeds from them. I dug them out of a Goodwill parking lot and put them in a mold to make sand castles.

The ones in your pic look a lot like the ones I dug up.
