Hello. Just noticed today my Mediterranean fan palm has seeds on it.

Do you have more than one palm? As I think Chamaerops is dioecious.

Only one of these palms. maybe seeds will not develop.

They will most probably bloom and then wither, unless you know of any other Chamaerops in your area? Mine flowered 2 years in a row and again has flowers, but never any seed. :|

Nice palm, how long has it been in the ground? I cant get a med. fan paln through a zone 7 winter, much less to bloom.

Thanks guys. It has been in ground for at least 5 years probably more. Just use heat tape and cover in winter.

I have my Chaemerops "Volcano" which bloomed as well a couple of month ago and is developing it's fruits either. Have to take picture and share...

I checked my palm today - the seeds dried out.. It's a pity.
