What a beautiful looking palm someone is going to get! Not that I would....but is it hard to strip the fiber off the trunk? Does it cause any stress to the palm? I'm thinking mother nature has it there for a reason.

defibred windmill

It is pretty quick to do I have done many. It does not hurt the palm at all . They do this a lot in Europe and now in the USA. I had a video 4 years ago doing a few. I had many US Palm Wholesalers call me and ask me how to do it and now they offer it. I like the fiber personally, but the naked look is cool also. I will do a few this spring and make a video.

I like the look myself, since I really don't perfer the look of trachies. It does keep them from looking like cousin it. I would like to try it to one of mine.
