Some pics around the yard tonight

Finally starting to warm up. What a slow, delayed spring this year. But it's time to look forward to the summer and not get upset about a spring that you can't control. Here are some pictures.

My windmill palms are starting to really push the fronds out again.

Planted this hibiscus today.

Castor beans for Jim! :)

Magnolia grandiflora '24 below' is progressing nicely after enduring its first Wisconsin winter.

Closeup of a brand new leaf.

Cannas after being killed back to the ground last month from a 29 degree freeze.

Image

Elephant ears putting on size.

Image

I have musa basjoo, musa orinoco and musa sikkimensis in here.

Image

Ensete maurelii, musa thai black, musa orinoco and musa dwarf cavendish in this area.

Image

Papayas that I grew from seed this spring.

Image

Amorphophallus konjac is almost finished leafing out.

Image

Mandarin orange is gaining good size.

Image

This lemon should begin turning yellow soon. It seems to be nearly full size.

Overall shot of the yard.

Thanks for looking!

Everything looks good! I bought a tango mandarin and a mayer lemon recently too. What temps have they seen outside?

Looks great. Do you also leave your cannas in the ground in winter then?
